Welcome

Welcome to the web site of Sky High, the live showband you need to make your function a success!

Based in Norfolk and Suffolk we are a functions band covering all of East Anglia and beyond. We play all kinds of music from the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties with a few carefully-chosen songs up to the present day. Our three-piece format means that we can offer a completely live sound yet at an affordable price.

Our music is great for dancing or singing along with, or of course for just listening to. We can keep your audience on the floor if that’s required, but are just as happy to entertain and chat as we go for the more intimate venue.

Our line-up is: Adrian on guitar, Nigel on bass and Ray on drums.

We are all competent lead vocalists, with completely different yet complementary singing styles and between us we deliver a great vocal harmony sound. Skills in the art of presentation are abundant too - each member has an impressive musical past and a proven track-record of ‘fronting’ various groups over the years.

Always smartly dressed we have a choice of outfits ranging from the formal look for posh dinner-dances and corporate functions to a more relaxed style for holiday centres and clubs.

We use only the best gear: Amplification and mixing is handled by our amazing and very classy Bose system that provides superb clarity and stereo separation. For the majority of venues the Bose is all we need. We can cater for huge or open air venues with rack-mount mixing and PA amplifiers and wall of traditional EV (ElectroVoice) PA speakers

We have a range of instruments to choose from: Guitars and basses by PRS, Godin, Fender and Höfner. Ray plays a Ludwig kit with the option of Roland V-Drums for tiny stages.

We have a small lighting rig available - please ask when you book.

We are friendly and approachable and although we don’t take ourselves too seriously we understand the importance of getting it right. We aim to always provide a thoroughly professional show.
